RD Weis Announces Organizational Realignment

New Roles and Title Changes to Take Effect March 1, 2014

Port Chester, NY … RD Weis, a flooring solutions provider, announced the following new roles and title changes as part of an ongoing effort to realign and refine their organization and various roles.

Mike Pendergast, veteran Upstate New York associate assumes the role of Regional Vice President, with full responsibility for the sales and operations of the Rochester office. Mike has been with RD Weis for 15 years and has an extensive background in sales, operations, project management and A&D representation and selling. Mike in addition has been actively involved in IFMA and ALA. Mike will work with Larry Riggi and Ernie Wheeler in growing RD Weis’s presence in the Upstate market, and will be expanding sales efforts into new channels.

In this new alignment, Ernie Wheeler an eight-year veteran of RD Weis takes on the role of Director of Sales, Education and Corporate.

Chris Mancus, a ten-year RD Weis veteran and business leader in the Michigan market assumes the title of Regional Vice President in recognition of the growth of the Detroit office and continued success in that market. Chris manages the sales, operations and project management of that office today and will be soon expanding sales staffing there. Chris is an active member of IFMA in lower Michigan, and a member of ALA.

Sheri Gorman, a seven-year veteran becomes Vice President of Marketing/A&D in recognition of the increased importance of that role at RD Weis and also her role in coordinating the company’s A&D efforts throughout the branch network. Sheri is an active board member of CARE, a member of AHID, IIDA, and Starnet’s environmental committee. Sheri will continue to focus her efforts on targeting new end-users across all segments and market the Stile and Starnet exclusive brands in the greater New York area.

Rosa Spoto assumes the title of Vice President, Administration recognizing her recent expanded role with managing the estimating and project management staff in the New York area. Rosa, in her expanded role, will oversee Human Resources, Finance, Purchasing, Project Management, and estimating, integration under one leader of all the non-sales and operations activities. Rosa is a 21-year veteran of RD Weis.
