The Library requested that the re-carpeting of their open, multi-level spaces make a big “floor statement” and create a “fun” place to visit. We were asked to update the library by only changing the existing flooring, which was past its expiration date and was about to become a safety issue if it was not replaced. The designer, Judy Girod, of Lothrop Associates, incorporated organic pathways using accent colors to help define certain parts of the library. Accomplishing this using only carpet required special use of the magic wand of design ideas. Using the Tandus Modular Landscape Textures carpet colors in three colors with color spots of Plexus in 5 shades was the solution for the main Library.
