Soft, warm, quiet — and often environmentally friendly
One of the most popular commercial flooring types, vinyl flooring, is offered in a wide array of colors, is water and stain resistant, extremely versatile, and, if you choose tiles, is easily replaced if worn or damaged. There are two types of vinyl flooring: sheet vinyl, which is installed in sheets of various width, and tile, consisting of 9″x9″ or 12″x12″ tiles.
Sheet Vinyl
Sheet vinyl flooring is a continuous sheet of polymer materials with a protective outer wear layer above a digital graphic film layer. Known for its durability, sheet vinyl is used in areas that require larger sheets without visible seams, such as in healthcare settings.
LVT
LVT is composed of a mixture of limestone and composites. A digital graphic film layer is then added top, which comes in an endless variety of designs. This graphic is then covered with a layer that prevents wear and tear. The design options of LVT are enormous, making it a superior product. LVT is more durable than VCT and doesn’t require regular stripping, waxing and polishing, thus reducing maintenance costs. This product is rapidly becoming the first choice for cost-effective flooring.
VCT
VCT is composed of binders, fillers and pigments formed into solid sheets, which are then cut into tiles, with layers of polish to protect its surface. Regular maintenance, including stripping, waxing and polishing is required.
